Year 10 Interviews
Our Year 10s have been studying vocations this term. They looked at the different types of vocations that people can be called to.
As a part of this, these students interviewed an adult and a Year 11 student asking them about their choices in life regarding where they are and where they want to be. A huge thanks to Year 11 students for being a part of this process, and their teachers.
Destiny Rescue
Darren Reynolds from Destiny Rescue came and spoke to our Year 12 General Religion and Life students. Our current topic is modern-day issues to which the Church responds. The topic we are looking at is modern-day slavery, both in Australia and in neighbouring countries.
Darren spoke to our students about the work Destiny Rescue performs saving young children, predominately girls, from being trafficked. It was a very sensitive topic, and Darren certainly raised awareness among the Year 12s.
We were very grateful for his time.
