Dear parents,

I would like to welcome you to the commencement of the academic year. I do hope that your Christmas break was filled with lots of family time and that you and your children are sufficiently rejuvenated to begin the 2022 year.

Each year is exciting in that we welcome new families through the Year 7 cohort. I do hope that your association with our community is fruitful and positive. We also welcome new families to the College through the other cohorts and this year, we welcomed 60 new students to Years 8 to 11. It is also great to begin our association with you.

SEQTA

The College endeavours to support families through various communication channels, particularly the student and parent portal called SEQTA. I encourage new families to create their account so that we can effectively work together for the education of your student.

COVID Update

I have also written to you to outline the Catholic education system approach to managing our response to COVID-19. We will follow the West Australian Department of Health and Education directives.

In short, we ask;

• the students to wear masks whilst in class
• to observe social distancing and hygiene routines where possible and appropriate
• we note that students over 16 may be excluded from some public events end so this may affect their access to excursions.

I repeat the advice of the Department of Health, which advises that the most important response for students is to be vaccinated.
